Zero-emission building, Austria

This pilot project represents a milestone of sustainable consulting activity for the challenges of the future.

For the first time during the renovation of a 1960s-built house, it was possible to increase energy efficiency by a coefficient of 19. CO2 emissions were reduced by 100% in this project. Above all, it was proven that refurbishment to “passive house standards” (zero emission building) starts to pay off from the first day, in comparison to conventional renovations. This project was nominated for the Austrian Consulting Prize 2007 because the jury was convinced that this concept can make a significant contribution towards reduction of CO2 emissions and protection of the environment.
