EFCA appoint new President   


The European Federation of Consulting Engineering Associations (EFCA) have appointed past President ACEI and CEO of Garland, Kevin Rudden, as President, for a three-year term at their General Assembly on 1st June 2017 in Copenhagen. He is the first Irish person to be elected to this prestigious position.

In his speech, Mr. Rudden said he will focus his activities on the development of a business environment conducive to ensure the competitiveness of the EFCA members for the global market.

Mr. Rudden is Dip. Eng. and member of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland (ACEI). Since October 1999, he has acted as director, and since 2011 – CEO.

Kevin Rudden has extensive experience in planning, design, procurement, cost control and in implementation of large-scale civil and infrastructure projects. He was responsible for planning, design and construction supervision of various business parks, airports, health care and industrial facilities.

Kevin Rudden is a member of such organisations as the Construction Safety Partnership and Construction Advisory Committee as the multisectoral authorities on Safety & Health.

He was one of the founders of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland, the Construction Safety Partnership and Construction Advisory Committee since 2005, he was responsible for coordinating the activities of these institutions in terms of safety and construction health.
