EIB-EFCA-FEACO Seminar on “Financing Cleaner Energy”
Fri 15/06/2007 9:45 to 16:00
The European Investment Bank, with the support of EFCA and FEACO, is organising a series of seminars aimed at promoting the funding available to support the economic objectives of the European Union, and the development of expert partnerships and quality projects.
The third seminar in the series, on the theme “Financing Cleaner Energy”, took place in Brussels on 15th June 2007. With over 100 participants, lively Q&A sessions, and networking during the breaks, this was another successful event.
Energy-related financing is the bank’s top strategic lending priority, in line with the EU target to reduce consumption and achieve a rate of 20% renewable energy by 2020. EIB experts presented current and upcoming financial instruments that allow the bank to invest in high-risk projects. Key elements in project preparation and appraisal were explained.
Herman Jan Wijnants of DHV Energy, representing EFCA at this event, addressed the topic of revolving funds for renewable energy products.
Location: Stanhope Hotel, Brussels
