ACE, ECCE & EFCA Seminar

Thu 21/10/2004

(jointly with ACE-CAE & ECCE), 21 October 2004, Brussels

Following the adoption of the new Public Procurement Directives and the ongoing transposition of the directives into national law, EFCA has joined forces with ACE (Architects' Council of Europe) and ECCE (European Council of Civil Engineers) to organise a seminar on this important topic.

The seminar addressed a wide range of issues that are pertinent to the procurement of consultancy services and was held in Brussels on the 21st October 2004. Speakers included representatives from the three federations, the European Commission, national Chief Procurement Officers, the cities of Espoo (SF) and Milan (I), and the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC).

It highlighted opportunities and potential pitfalls of the new EU legislation, green public procurement issues, and the Qualifications-Based Selection system (used by all U.S. federal agencies, 44 state governments, and many localities throughout the country).
