EFCA launches the publication 'Delivering a digital, green and resilient built environment: manifesto for 2030 from the consulting engineering sector'

Today, the climate emergency, the explosion onto the market of digital technologies, the shortage of energy and natural resources, the pandemic and the war in Ukraine have an enormous impact on the built environment. Policymakers need partners from the industry to deliver effective, sustainable and innovative solutions that will protect people, biodiversity, resources and the environment at large. However, none of these solutions will be possible without consulting engineers as we are not only innovating and pioneering new uses of data, but also transforming the way infrastructure, buildings and industrial facilities are designed. Policymakers should ensure the implementation of sound and co-created regulation, as well as adequate sustainable procurement practices and contractual innovation.
