EFCA is delighted to announce that Stanislas Merlet (Norway) is the winner of the ninth edition of the EFCA Young Professionals competition.
A total of 19 young professionals from 7 countries entered the high-level contest. All projects were of remarkably high quality, which made the evaluation that much more difficult for the jury.
The winner, Stanislas Merlet, is 32 years old and is a solar energy consultant in the Norwegian company Multiconsult.
For his winning entry, a feasibility study for the integration of a solar powered fuel saver at the Troll station, Antarctica, Stanislas contributed to the assessment, design and simulation of the solar PV system, storage included. He also created the tender documents - and conducted the evaluation of proposals - for the pilot project that has been implemented late 2015 at the Troll station.
Stanislas dedicated special attention to elements of communication and innovation. The project is innovative in terms of implementing a technology in very rough weather conditions.
With this, Stanislas has won a trip to Berlin and is now participating at the FIDIC - EFCA – VBI 2018 conference on 9-11 September, where he will receive his award.
