Following the announcement from our partners and friends from FIDIC, about the appointment of their new CEO, we are delighted to welcome Ms. Susanna Zammataro, an international transport leader with substantial experience. We wish her all the best in this new position, and we also look forward to working together for the benefit of our members at both European and international levels.
EFCA and FIDIC signed a cooperation agreement in December 2024 to enhance collaboration, in particular through the creation of the European Global Action Committee, a body that will strive to ensure effective coordination and communication, as well as to tackle specific challenges on behalf of consulting engineering firms. The first meeting of this Committee will take place in May, in Luxembourg, as part of our annual conference and General Assembly programme.
For the first time in the history of our two organisations, we are proud to report that our European and global sector federations are led by four women – two elected Presidents and two executive leaders– testament to the fact that the engineering sector is truly committed to fostering inclusivity, breaking down barriers and empowering women.
