The European Federation of Engineering Consultancy Associations (EFCA) is pleased to announce the appointment of several distinguished professionals to its Board of Directors, as decided at today's 2024 General Assembly Meeting.
For the first time in its 30-year history, EFCA has achieved gender balance across its Board of Directors, Director General, and President. EFCA President Ines Ferguson remarked, "EFCA is proud to have reached this significant milestone of gender balance among our leadership. We will continue to champion gender equality within the engineering sector, making it an inclusive career choice for all."
Existing Board member Roberto Carpaneto, Independent Senior Engineering Management Consultant and member of OICE Board (Italy) has been appointed as Vice-President.
The newly elected Treasurer is Nele De Smet, CEO and Owner of Evolta (Belgium).
The newly or re-appointed (Substitute) Directors are as follows:
- Shane Dempsey, Director General of ACEI (Ireland)
- Anders Persson, Director of Strategic Development & International Affairs at Innovationsföretagen (Sweden)
- Ioana Dragan, General Manager at Aquaproiect S.A. (Romania)
- Eva Rindom, Managing Director at SYSTRA (Denmark)
The Board plays a pivotal role in shaping EFCA's strategic direction, fostering collaboration among member associations, and upholding the highest standards of excellence within the engineering consultancy sector across Europe. The diverse expertise and profound industry knowledge of its members contribute significantly to the advancement and growth of EFCA's mission.
