EFCA European Network of Future Leaders

1. Goals and Expectations

  • Raise awareness of European Union and cohesion
  • Spark interest of young people in EFCA activities and motivate Future Leaders (FLs) to become more engaged within EFCA (committees, conferences, etc.)
  • Expand network beyond national boundaries
  • Aim for active participation (1-2 FL/MA in group)
  • Widen geographical and cross-disciplinary representation
  • Encourage Members Associations (MAs) to support FLs' activities
  • Support the growth of FL groups in MAs
  • Share experience, information and ideas among FLs
  • Broaden personal horizons and foster personality development

2. Membership

  • FL must work for an EFCA Member Association or an EFCA Member-affiliated company
  • Nomination must be submitted/supported by EFCA Member
  • Age limit: ≤ 35 years, extendable if no member of the same MA can be found
  • No limitation on the membership period

3. Organisation

  • 2-3 people should guide the group to ensure continuity (no hierarchy, no long terms)
  • 2-3 people chosen annually but can continue their tasks if available and approved by all
  • EFCA Secretariat (link between EFCA and the FLs) will provide administrative support whenever possible

4. Roadmap (Proposed roadmap available)

  • Duration: 1 year
  • 2-3 people responsible for its achievement, chosen annually but can continue their tasks if available and approved by all

5. Future Leaders’ Competition (Detailed guidelines available)

  • 2 group members to serve as jury members (to be determined within the group and depending on availability)
  • Period: April – beginning of May, depending on the EFCA General Assembly Meeting (GAM) date
  • Tasks:
    • Judge and classify the entries in line with the new competition rules adopted in 2024
    • Participate in 3-4 online meetings with the other jury members to discuss the entries
