EFCA European Network of Future Leaders
Proposed Roadmap for 2025 - Q2/2026

Participants:

  • open to every future leader (≤ 35 years) of EFCA member associations
  • goal: each member association should have 1-2 people in the future leaders group
  • if a member association does not send a future leader → inform national association that there is a group open to future leaders of EFCA member
  • if a member turns 35 → member to watch out for a following member

Expectations and goals of the group:

  • Awareness for European Union and cohesion
  • Network beyond national boundaries
  • Exchange of information and ideas among FLs
  • Expand personal horizon and develop personality
  • Awakening the interest of young people for EFCA association

Proposed roadmap (example):

4 meetings a year (2 in person, 2 online)

  • Q2 2025 - May (EFCA Conference) – see ideas for future leaders day 2025 below
  • Q3 2025 - September – in person (2 days) – Brussels – visit European parliament / visit construction site + dinner + discussion on current topics / soft skill workshop / external speaker on current topics
  • Q4 2025 - November/December – online – discussion on current topics + one or two EFCA committees to introduce their work / one or two EFCA FL competition participants to present their project
  • Q1 2026 - February/March – online – discussion on current topics + one or two EFCA committees to introduce their work + collecting ideas for FL day in May
  • Q2 2026 – May (EFCA Conference) - in person (2 ½ days) - dinner for future leaders, e. g. the evening before + Conference and GAM (attend official sections (and bring some FL into conference panels and GAM if appropriate to have a young opinion on topics) + FL day

Organisation:

  • Organisation by the EFCA Secretariat together with the FL responsible:
  • 2 to 3 people from the group responsible for future leaders roadmap for 1 year (no “hierarchy”, no votes for chair or vice chair, no long terms (2+2y), establish roles internally if necessary)

At the end of the 1-year period, ask for 2-3 people for the following year.
